The Sixth Semiannual Meeting of the Universal Group of Companies

Yesterday, August 19, 2023, Universal Group held its sixth semi-annual meeting at Shahran Hotel, Sana'a City.  This meeting was chaired by the General Manager of Universal Group Mr. Jamal Omar, and it was attended by the Chairman of the Universal Group of Companies Mr. Omar Yaaqob, remotely, the major group managers, and members of the Board of Directors from inside and outside the country.  

The meeting was inaugurated with reciting Al-Fatihah for the spirit of the Late Founder Mr. Alwan Saeed Al-Shaibani, may Allah have mercy on him, and shed light on his inspiring successes in various fields of life, which must be emulated to continue achieving success. In his turn, the General Manager of Universal Group delivered a speech on behalf of the Chairman of the board of directors of the Group.

Furthermore, the companies’ reports of achievement and performance in its various sectors were reviewed in addition to UG’s social responsibility represented by Al Khair Foundation for Social Development and what has been achieved during the same period of the previous year. UG'S Sector Managers also exchanged their views and ideas with the aim of overcoming all challenges and adopting best practices in work.

The participants in this meeting emphasized the importance of competency development in a way that keeps pace with the various development in modern fields of sectors, enhancing business process engineering and organizational structuring of companies and developing their infrastructure in the field of information technology and using new technologies and digital transformations to develop the efficiency of company performance, expand services and investment opportunities with international and local partners, and achieve new goals and increase the market share for all sectors and activities of the Universal Group of Companies. At the end of this meeting, a number of employees from the various companies of the Group were honored in appreciation of their distinction in performance and efforts during the current year.
